Two Jefferson County residents are behind bars after police found an active meth lab inside their vehicle.
30-year old Chad Davis and 38-year old Jennifer Craig were pulled over on S. 12th St. in Mt. Vernon when police found the active lab in the car.
Police had to close the street in order to secure the lab.
Davis is charged with meth manufacturing, Craig was charged with meth possession with the intent to deliver and other related charges.
Bond has yet to be set for Davis and Craig.
