Two Southern Illinois Hospitals have now gone under new ownership, according to a published report.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Union County Hospital in Anna, and Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon will be a part of a new publicly-traded hospital company called Quorum Health Corporation.

The Post-Dispatch says the move was made so Community Health Systems, Inc, the company who previously owned the hospitals, can focus on providing health care in larger markets.
