Eight people were arrested in White County early Tuesday morning during a drug operation.
This was during Operation “WhiteOut”, an investigation that’s been continuing the past several months. The operation targets drug crimes in Carmi and the surrounding areas.
42 year-old Merle A. Bartley, 37 year-old Michelle Bartley, and 46 year-old Timothy W. Buchanan of Carmi are each charged with 2 counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
31 year-old Nathan E. Egbert, Carmi, is charged with two counts of delivery of methamphetamine.
20 year-old Kevin M. Lemond, Fairfield, is charged with delivery of methamphetamine.
38 year-old Daniel R. Mason,Carmi, charged with unlawful delivery of methamphetamine.
57 year-old Eddie L. Mercer, Carmi, charged with delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of cannabis, and two counts of delivery of cannabis.
29 year-old Dustin P. Sauls, Carmi, charged with unlawful delivery of cannabis, unlawful possession of cannabis, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
According to reports, White County Sheriff Doug Maier says more arrests are expected.
