SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — A judge has given attorneys for the state of Illinois another month to review a proposed settlement of a class-action lawsuit about overcrowding at a local prison.

According to reports, U.S. Magistrate Philip Frazier granted the 30-day extension last week in the Vienna Correctional Center case. Three inmates filed suit in 2012 arguing prisoners in Vienna facility lived in moldy, infested quarters with insufficient bathrooms.

Specifically the judge gave the state more time to file a preliminary agreement about how problems at the prison will be corrected.

Attorneys for the state noted in their request that they needed more time to obtain approval for unresolved terms because of the change from former Gov. Pat Quinn to Gov. Bruce Rauner’s administration.
