Murphysboro, Ill. – A man is in custody after police say they found six pounds of marijuana in his possession.

Police say 29-year-old Deborez Taylor is charged with violating his parole and possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.

Taylor is being held in Jackson County Jail.

The Illinois Department of Corrections says two other arrests have been made during the same parole compliance check that caught Taylor. One person was arrested for a sex offender registration violation and another for an out-of-area warrant.
