A Murphysboro man has been sentenced to 30 months behind bars yesterday after pleading guilty to aggravated DUI, in a press release from Jackson County State’s Attorney Michael Carr.

The list of charges against Michael Stephanidis includes arrests in November and December of last year, and in January of this year in Murphysboro. All three cases were for aggravated DUI.

Stephanidis agreed to plead guilty to aggravated DUI in the January 2014 case and to DUI charges in the November 2013 case. The charges in the December case were dropped as a plea bargain.

This is Stephanidis’ sixth and seventh convictions for DUI.
