Herrin, Ill. – Two people from Eldorado face charges after a traffic stop led to the discovery of what police say was a mobile meth lab.

Energy Police Chief Shaun Ladd says officers pulled over 34-year-old Misty Rector and 38-year-old Josh Ragan around 6:37 p.m. Monday on the 1700 block of South Park Ave. in Herrin. Police say they found an active meth lab inside the car, along with a 10-year-old child. Rector and Ragan were arrested while the child was taken to a local hospital and treated for exposure to methamphetamine.

The child is now in protective custody.

Rector also had a warrant out for her arrest for failure to appear in court on other drug charges.
