Marion, Ill. – Jerry Odum is the new fire chief in Marion.

He was unanimously approved by the city council yesterday. He has been with the fire department for 26 years, most recently as Captain.

Outgoing fire chief Jack Reed is retiring to take a job with the Marion Parks and Recreation District.
