At around 11 pm Saturday night, Jackson County Deputies responded to several reports of a black Chevrolet pickup truck that struck several parked cars and fled the scene on Main St. in Campbell Hill.

Many pedestrians had witnessed the damage taking place due to the Campbell Hill Picnic going on.

Within minutes, 49 year old William Modglin of Ava was found driving the pickup truck in question, and was immediately arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, and driving under the influence.

Modglin was sent to the Jackson County Jail and was released a short time later on bond.
