West Frankfort, Ill. – A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in a hit-and-run.

Barbara Rybicki is back home recovering after spending nearly two weeks in the hospital after she was struck by a vehicle while walking with her granddaughter in West Frankfort. She reportedly suffered two broken legs and a blood clot to the brain.

The City Council approved a $500 dollar reward at Tuesday’s council meeting and a local business owner matched that amount.

The vehicle is described as a light-colored sedan, but there were conflicting reports from witnesses about other details.
