Carbondale, Ill. – The Carbondale City Council will discuss the hunting of white-tailed deer on Cedar Lake property.

Currently, you’re only allowed to hunt white-tail deer on the south section of the lake, which is owned by the United States Forest Service. That kind of hunting is prohibited on the northern part of the property that is owned by the city.

The city council will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. to discuss the proposal, which is being requested by the Illinois Department Of Natural Resources.
