farnham, keithCHICAGO (AP) — A former Illinois state representative faces more charges related to possession of child pornography.

The U.S. attorney’s office in Chicago announced Friday that a federal grand jury returned a four-count indictment this week charging Keith Farnham of Elgin with possession, receiving and transporting child pornography. Initially, he was charged in a criminal complaint with one count of possession of child pornography.

The 66-year-old has been released on bond but confined to his home. He will be arraigned in federal court at a later date.

He was charged last month with possession of child pornography after investigators searched his home and state office. Videos allegedly depicting child pornography were found on a computer.

Farnham resigned from the General Assembly in March. His attorney didn’t immediately return a message Friday.
