The Illinois State Police released their end-of-the-year 2012 report for District 13, which includes Franklin, Williamson, Washington, Perry, Jackson and Randolph County.
Police handled 1,127 car accidents, 40 of which were fatal. Those crashes resulted in 46 fatalities, 11 fewer than 2011.
Criminal arrests totaled 929 people, including 317 DUIs.
7,107 speeding tickets were issued, over 19 a day.
